Who we are

BioModil Srl, holder of the CLF Modil® patent, deals with the design, construction and marketing of modern and inexpensive systems for the biological treatment of sewage, biogas digestate and in general of zoo technical and agro-food waste, referring to natural systems of transformation into organic substance.

Thanks to a twenty-year experience, supported by universities, specialists in the sector and the main decision-making bodies, the technology of CLF Modil® is the right combination to combine efficiency to effectiveness.

Following the parameters indicated in the Kyōto Protocol (17 December 1997) the use of our technology for the treatment of wastewater ensures the abatement of nitrates, the transformation of wastewater into a stable organic matter, enriching the land impoverished by exploitation. At the same time, the CLFModil® allows to achieve important economic results such as the containment of the volumes to be distributed and handled, the production of organic matter and high hygroscopicity, which favors the saving of water in irrigations.

CLF MODIL

It is a modern, inexpensive biological treatment plant of sewage, of biogas digestate and of zoo technical and agro-food waste, referring to natural systems of transformation into organic substance.

The CLF Modil® technology, whose special feature of the patent is the aerobic fermentation induced by the system, consists in the transformation of liquid and solid waste into workable material with the use of organic material with low moisture content (shredded straw, wood shavings, sawdust, shredded maize stalks – if sufficiently dry, etc.) distributed in advance in a horizontally developing reactor.

A mechanical equipment, on overhead cranes, runs daily on tracks, first distributing the slurry and/or digestate on the surface and then handling and oxygenating the biomass. All with low energy consumption and unnecessary maintenance costs.

The most important aspect of the production process carried out by the digester CLF Modil® is the ratio between the volume of slurry placed on the chosen substrate and the volume of the product obtained at the end of the production process.

The final product obtained, in addition to being workable material, results to have a lower environmental impact thanks to the reduction of the percentage in nitrogen, compared to the slurry as a starting and therefore more conveniently transportable at a distance.

In addition, the greater stability of the product obtained compared to normal sewage allows it to significantly contain the odors and emissions that follow its distribution in the field, even in the vicinity of residential areas with the elimination of inconvenience to the resident population.

Ammonia emissions are acceptable from an eco-compatible, point of view as measured nitrogen emissions (NH3 and N2O) are not significant.

From a company point of view, the CLF Modil® digester technology is very interesting because in addition to contributing to the reduction of nitrogen from livestock manure, to limit ammonia and greenhouse gas emissions, it allows to reduce the disposal surface.

Another positive aspect is the possibility of introducing the mixed composted soil improver produced in a market where soil improvers (composted soil improvers, peat, etc.) continue inexorably to confirm their growth trend that is now repeated for a decade at the expense of mineral fertilizers.

This is due to a greater focus on organic substance, in line with the agricultural policies of the European Union, tending to encourage the use of soil organic improvers in partial replacement of synthetic mineral fertilizers.

The CLF Modil® process represents an innovative technology that brings benefits and advantages to farmers, a better safeguard of the environment and quality of life, with strong energy savings, cost reduction, elimination of bad odors and realization of an important virtuous circle in the production chain of livestock farms.
